Fourth Event

Thanks to the hospitality of Microsoft Cyprus (especially Mr. Savvas Kounnis), for hosting the Fourth Event of CDNUG.

The event started with some important announcements. Our President Chad Hower was recently employed by Microsoft MEA which makes it impossible for him to carry on in the group. The group thanked Chad for his tremendous support and wished him good luck in his new position. Chad promised that he will help the group and other regional groups through his new position. Chad proposed Evangelos Hadjichristodoulou as the new president and Bojan Mijuskovic as the vice president of the group. Cosmin Onea has voluntarily received the position of secretary.

After the initial announcements two excellent sessions presented by Cosmin Onea and Chad Z. Hower received more than expected feedback from the rest of the (mostly) members’ audience.

In the first session, Cosmin Onea presented the "Rockford Lhotka’s Business Objects Framework". Cosmin went on to present some of the functionality of the framework and provided some code samples.

The second session was about "Application Setting the .NET way INI, Registry or XML" where Chad went through the options available to developers for storing application settings.

After the sessions, a farewell party took place at the "Cathey" Chinese restaurant, for our president Chad.
