Many thanks to the hospitality and support of Microsoft Cyprus, for hosting our user group's event for May 2009.

Microsoft SharePoint technologies is a collection of products and software elements that allow building modern portals and even more. They can be used for hosting websites that access shared workspaces and documents. Additionally, they allow the users to manipulate various controls known as “web parts” and much more.

The speaker for this event was Evangelos Hadjicristodoulou, Services Consultant at Microsoft-Cyprus. His presentation was about the Microsoft SharePoint Feature Areas.

In an interesting session (always along with many questions and long discussions), Evangelos explained to the members of the User Group that SharePoint is not only about creating portals. It has a plethora of additional feature areas which enable the developer to build modern solutions on top of  other great Microsoft technologies.

• Business Process & Forms

The attendees found the session very interesting as SharePoint technologies is one of the hot topics nowdays!
